Day Trip Block Party returns to Denver on Saturday, September 26. Insomniac brings one of thier most recognizable house music brands back to The Junkyard. With a lineup featuring Zhu, Purple Disco Machine, LP Giobbi, Coco & Breezy, and more, the upcoming block party is a must-attend event for house music fans looking to dance the day away. Known for its daytime parties, fishbowl drinks, and commitment to keeping house music at the center of the experience, Day Trip has become a major name in the house scene.
From an LA Patio to a Nationwide House Music Movement
Day Trip’s story began in 2018 on the patio of Academy in Los Angeles. What started as an intimate daytime house music experience quickly developed into something much bigger. By 2021, Day Trip had grown into a two-day festival, establishing its annual home along the waterfront at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.

Since then, the brand has continued to expand its reach. Day Trip held its first festival in Seattle in 2022 and is preparing to bring it to San Jose in October. Along the way, the brand also introduced a variety of events in different markets. These included block parties in Seattle, Day Trip on the Rooftop in San Francisco, and Day Trip in the Park events in Los Angeles and Arizona.
Day Trip Makes Its Mark in Denver
Denver got its first taste of these popular house music events last year. The expansion included Day Trip on the Rooftop events at Club Vinyl, as well as the first Day Trip Block Party in Denver. The brand continued its presence in the city this summer with Day Trip on the Rooftop at Club Vinyl every Sunday from May 24 through September 6. The series featured a diverse lineup of house music talent, including CID, AC Slater, Justin Martin, and Aluna.
Now, the Block Party is returning for another full day of house music. It offers fans one more chance to come together and celebrate the genre before the summer season officially ends.

Zhu, Purple Disco Machine, and More Take Over The Junkyard
Day Trip’s motto, “House music all day long,” perfectly captures what fans can expect on September 26. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., giving attendees nine hours of music, dancing, and everything that makes a Day Trip event stand out.
The day will begin with Denver locals Lily Nova and Sonrizas, who will kick things off and set the tone for the party. From there, Black Rave Culture, Coco & Breezy, Swimming Paul, and LP Giobbi will keep the music moving with their own takes on house. As the sun begins to set, Purple Disco Machine will take the stage. Known for his disco-infused house sound and energetic performances, his set should provide one of the standout moments of the day. Zhu will be closing out the night with his distinctive blend of house, techno, and darker atmospheric sounds.
The diverse lineup of the Block Party promises to showcase the many different sides of house music while maintaining the welcoming, high-energy atmosphere Day Trip is known for. The event is just two weeks away, but fans still have an opportunity to secure their spot at The Junkyard. Both GA and VIP tickets are currently available.
