ARC Music Festival returns to Union Park in Chicago this weekend from August 29 to 31! This is the festival’s fifth year, bringing amazing performances by artists such as Eric Prydz, John Summit, and Fisher to the Windy City. The festival will run from 2:00pm to 10:00pm each day.
Stages
ARC will feature four stages. The stages consist of Elrow, The Grid, Expansions, and Area 909. Each stage will have different details that make it unique. Having four stages will give the audience chances to experience a variety of performances and energy. Check out the set times at each stage.
Age Limit
ARC is open for ages 18 and up, so don’t forget to bring your ID!
Transportation
Union Park is a gorgeous public park in the heart of Chicago that can be accessed via the CTA Pink and Green lines. The Ashland stop is located directly across from the park and is the easiest way to get to the venue. For those coming from the Northern suburbs, the Western Avenue Metra stop is the closest Metra stop to Union Park. This stop is located about a 30-minute walk from Union Park, but transferring to a bus or CTA train can help cut the walk in half.
Weather
The weather will be ideal this weekend with temperatures averaging around 70 degrees. It could get a bit chilly at night with temperatures reaching 59 degrees, so make sure to come prepared if you get cold easily. The festival will go on rain or shine; however, there is no need to worry because there is currently no rain predicted this weekend!
Bag Policy
No backpacks or large bags (larger than 16″ by 16″ x 8″) will be allowed with the exception of hydropacks. Make sure the bladder is empty and can be removed for inspection upon entry.
Prohibited Items
ARC has stated that sunglasses, earplugs, and an open mind are encouraged. It is important to note that items such as totems, flowtoys, and LED gloves are all prohibited. Here is the full list of prohibited items.
After Parties
ARC offers ARC After Dark, which consists of a large variety of aftershows at different iconic Chicago venues spread out over the three-day festival. Each show will consist of different artists and a different vibe depending on the venue. We’ve got the full list of aftershows.
