With Nocturnal 2022 upon us, here are four can’t-miss artists who will make it worth your while to get out early to see.
Starting Saturday off with some funky house, head over to the Sunken Garden stage on Saturday at 3pm to catch Rybo. This emerging house DJ has been a staple in the Desert Hearts crew, playing at its festivals and City Hearts tour stops across the country. Rybo is a perfect way to get the day started off vibing — check out the Summer Vibes Mix and his song “Favela Funk” to hear more.
The second artist on the list mixes hip hop and trap with heavy bass drops. The EDM artist Blvk Jvck is actually half of the production duo known as The Runners, who are behind hit singles for big names like DJ Khaled’s “Go Hard” and Rick Ross’ “Hustlin,” plus an official remix for Bruno Mars’ global smash “That’s What I Like.” Blvk Jvck takes to the Labyrinth stage on Saturday at 4pm and one can listen to his hits like “BODY SH!T,” “TIKTOK” and “DO SUMMIN” to hear more from this artist.
Coming out of Los Angeles, Hi I’m Ghost is known for their signature eerie style and will play a host of bass bangers like Death Rail. They played Forbidden Kingdom last spring and will be at Lost Lands next week, so Hi I’m Ghost definitely gets down with the darker side of dubstep. Be sure to see them Sunday at 4pm on the Labyrinth stage and check out their top songs “Spooky Riddim,” “1 on 1 Remix,” and “Sheesh” for more bangers.
With an exciting mix of house and bass music, the Bay Area artist Wenzday has releases on top labels like Confessions, Dim Mak and Insomniac Records. She is also a co-creator of the bass label 40oz Cult, which has put out over 100 records since 2016 and plays every Wednesday on Dash Radio. Catch her on the Wolves Den stage Sunday at 3:45pm and get ready to party by checking out her songs “Heartbreak House,” “G Spot” and “Actin’ Up.”
Remember to get to the festival early, drink plenty of water, eat some tasty food and most of all, have fun. Experience all that Nocturnal Wonderland and the Glen Helen Arena has to offer. Check out some new amazing artists that you maybe haven’t heard yet, be safe and spread the PLUR.
