Festival season is here ladies and gentlemen, and on the West Coast, that means it is time for — Beyond Wonderland 2023! Here are four artists early on to start the day off right.
The first artist recommendation for Day 1 is a bass artist from Australia, Lucille Croft. She released her first EP last year, Patient X, based on a character she created to share her experiences as a woman in the music industry. She draws her inspiration from bands like Nine Inch Nails and Bjork and has performed at festivals in Australia, Asia, and heavy-hitters here in the U.S. like Ultra Miami and Hard Summer. She has amassed over 4 million streams in less than a year and was on the cover of “OFF THE RAILS” Magazine. Start Day 1 at Mad Hatter’s Castle at 6 pm with some heavy bass music! Check out some of her songs and get ready to rage: Seduce / Destroy, Control, Resonate.
Another fantastic Day 1 artist visiting from overseas is Codeko from across the pond in the U.K. He got his start in music at age five when he learned to play the piano and started his electronic music career while in college at Cambridge University working on a master’s degree in Physics. With over 140 million streams worldwide and tracks on top labels like Insomniac and Ophelia, it’s no wonder he has also won SiriusXM’s BMP Breakout Artist of the Year. He has tracks with Gryffin (Nobody Compares To You), Audien (Antidote), and my personal favorite, “Halo.” Codeko gets the night going right at 6:50 pm at Caterpillar’s Garden.

For Day 2, this next artist broke onto the scene last year with his tech-house banger “Drugs from Amsterdam,” so get to know the name Mau P. This Dutch native started his music career when he was 18 and draws inspiration from Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, and Daft Punk. Check out another banger from this rising star, “Gimme That Bounce,” and make sure to get there early to get vibey at Caterpillar’s Garden at 7 pm.
Grlskout kicks off Day 2 at 5 pm at the Sea of Wonders and is coming down the rabbit hole from Poland. She has been in the scene for 10 years and is no stranger to Insomniac events, previously playing Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland. She also holds a residency at some of the top clubs in the world like Exchange LA and Academy. Her hits include Gemini, Brave & Bold, and Dragonfly.
Tickets are still available! The gates open this Friday, March 24 at 5 pm so remember to get to the festival early, drink plenty of water, eat some tasty food, and most of all, have fun! Experience all that Beyond Wonderland has to offer and explore the full festival grounds. Check out some new amazing artists and enjoy a safe trip going down the rabbit hole.
