Embracing the DIY culture of modern dance music, Hotel Garuda lays down his roots, influences, and current direction with his long awaited debut EP, The Tension, out now via Mom+Pop Music. The release marks a pivotal moment for the Hotel Garuda project, in which the producer, Aseem Mangaokar, sets off to explore his truest self, breaking free from the confines of being a “stereotypical producer/DJ.”

From start to finish, The Tension proves to be an electrifying EP, with vocals and mixes which encapsulate Hotel Garuda’s new intimate approach to music production. Bursting with infectious energy, this collection of musical gems is quickly shaping up to be his best work yet.
“This EP distills a year-long introspection into four pieces of music,” shares Hotel Garuda. “The name of the EP comes from the tension I felt between being my truest self, and also putting on the persona that listeners had come to associate with Hotel Garuda… I’ve really come into my own with regards to what I want my music to say, and the feelings I want it to evoke. I want my listeners to know that I’ve evolved, and though the music I make may not be the same as what initially drew them to me, I hope they’re entertained by the artistic journey that inspires me.”
