Half Dead Throws Down Dubstep Gem “Sadboi”

Article By: Trevor Di Carlo

Tucson-based producers Gabe Funes and Michael Bruyn joined up to form the emerging music group Half Dead. Their sound project displays a more evil and mysterious perspective to music, creating a more engaging experience for their fans, and bringing together sad souls to remind them they are not alone. Having already released the glitchy heavyweight track “Freakshow,” Half Dead is now ready to emerge from the depths of the underground to present its latest melodic dubstep gem “Sadboi.”

“Sadboi” opens with a shimmering intro, in tune with fresh vocals that drive the overall soundscape. Winding us through this textured emotional journey, Half Dead incorporates intricate synthesizers and gritty bass to capture the feeling of being “broken inside.”

Half Dead’s production skills have already earned them opening gigs for established artists like Riot Ten, Carbin, Hi I’m Ghost, and others before quarantine. We can only imagine what this emerging duo has cooking behind the scenes for its post-COVID plans. Stay tuned and show these rising stars some support on their latest release.
