Wreckno Contributes Colorful Pride Month EP ROYGBIV

Article By: Trevor Di Carlo

On a mission to support fellow up and coming LGBTQIA+ producers in the scene, the talented rapper and DJ Wreckno teams up with a slew of industry friends to develop this saucy pride month EP release, ROYGBIV. Wreckno also put out a pride-fueled heater, “Medusa,” featuring on the track with musical mastermind GRiZ for a funkafied banger.

Focusing on the EP, Wreckno has a lot going on with “Ass Thrower,” the first track on the bass heavy release. Along with Wessanders, the duo create a gritty, distorted bass experience bursting with energy and encouraging listeners to throw that ass left and right. Cranking the bass up even more with the next song “The Püssy,” Wreckno and NotLö deliver chest shaking bass power, reinforced with slick vocals and dubby sound effects, while advocating for body positivity and women’s rights.

Wreckno and Gardella go all out on “KIKI!” with elaborate hip-hop vocals over fresh dubstep beats, complemented by warped synthesizers and wonky basslines. Closing the EP with the melodic track “Hook,” Wreckno is joined on the mic by Koko Villa, Mad Pritch, and Ruku for this smooth vocal hit.

The ROYGBIV EP confirms Wreckno’s raw and innovative production skills and his prowess as a rapper and lyricist, as well as his tireless passion to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. Unabashedly colorful and bubbly, Wreckno is an artist on a mission to make his message heard, poised and primed for bigger things to come.
