Underground talent Maroc knocked it out of the park with his first release of the new year: “Dark Origins.” One of his heaviest tunes to date, Maroc shows he means business ahead of a busy 2022 for the emerging producer. Combining sinister FX and a deep bassline, Maroc proves he is out for blood in what is sure to be his biggest year yet.
The intro to “Dark Ritual” couples a chilling topline with a foreshadowing sub. The intro gives way to a brooding bassline and background choir FX that haunts listeners to their core. The track creates a wicked soundscape for listeners to get lost in as the bass takes over. Both drops in “Dark Ritual” feature complex bass synths that showcase Maroc’s sound design prowess.
Maroc is flying high after a major festival announcement for 2022, as he will be playing two sets at Sol Fest along with several other artists from the Mean Mug Music collective. He also will be playing at The Black Box for the first time in February. We’re looking forward to what else he has in store for us!
